3 Dots…Mother’s Day Preview

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. Its a time to honor mom for all she does for us. The celebration takes many forms, depending on the family. I know for our daughter Beth it will be dad telling the kids “Aww, c’mon. Let her sleep 5 more minutes.” Results will be problematic.
I was reading up on Mother’s Day as a holiday and discovered that it is relatively new as holidays go. My wife, however, thinks that one day a year is not enough. She is lobbying for more time…we’ll see.
As for our celebration, I’m up for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and a movie preferably the new Star Trek movie (it’s a Dad thing). We are going to the new Star Trek movie later today partly because I am a Trek fan but also because the movie has been getting excellent reviews. The reviews are from those who count…the Trek fans themselves…and I mean those who went to the midnight premier. Other reviews I’ve read say its the best movie of the franchise so far.
Terri is also lobbying for a Grandmother’s Day celebration. We have 6 with another due in August, provided it will cooperate and arrive on time. That’s one of the problems with babies, though, no sense of timing.
